Membership

We are a member-only club, meaning we unfortunately don’t accommodate rental of courts, playing with a fixed group and joining us for a few weeks or short duration.

Additionally, our memberships run for the entire season, meaning we do not provide refunds if you cancel your membership during the season. Our season runs from September till June during which we provide recreational play, training sessions and competition. Shuttles are provided by the club during the season. From July-August we provide recreational play for our members (summer badminton), however, members have to bring their own shuttles during this period.

Memberships are automatically renewed at the end of the season, unless you actively cancelled or unsubscribed by emailing [email protected].

There are three types of memberships available with us:

• Recreational (Allows one to play with other members only during recreational playing hours).
• Training (Additionally, allows one to participate in one assigned training session per week).
• Competition (Entitles one to be part of our competition teams along with recreational playing sessions and a training session)

Currently there are no training membership types available for intermediate and advanced players as all slots are taken. Beginner training slots are still available.

Near the end of the season, existing members will be given a choice to change their membership type. The final decision will be with board as there are limited training slots available.

Trials

If you want to try-out the club before signing up as a member, you can reach us through “Contact” by specifying that you want a try-out session before joining the club. Providing more information such as current play level  helps us manage the queue better as we have a restricted number of Members intake. Please do not come for try-outs on your own until and unless you receive a try-out date from us. Only recreational play session will be provided for trial.

Membership fees

Your membership fee depends on your membership type and whether you are a student or not.

Student discount

Student are entitled to a discount. In order to apply for this discount student can upload their student enrollment proof for the current year on their account which will be reviewed by the board. Please note that you have to provide the student enrollment proof every season. Please be noted that PhD does not count for student membership.

Prices

When you register between September 2023 and February 2024, the membership fees for the 2023-2024 season are (in euros):

When you register in March 2024 or later, you get a 50% discount for the rest of the 2023-2024 season (in euros) but you also pay €100.- upfront for 2024-25 season. If you stay for the 2024-25 season, you will get that €100 discount for that season. If you do not stay for the 2024-25 season you cannot get that €100.- refunded. For example, if you join as a recreational non-student, you would pay €225,- (€250 / 2 + €100) for the current season and, assuming prices don’t change, €150,- (€250 – €100) for 2024-25.

Collection period

Membership fees can either be paid in a lump sum or in two installments. Membership fees for enrolled members are automatically collected in September and March. New members will get a request from the treasurer to transfer the membership fee within 14 days of joining the club. An additional fee of €10.- applies for members who opt to pay the membership fee in two installments instead of in a lump sum.

Unsubscribe

If you wish to unsubscribe, please email [email protected] before the 1st of July. You will receive a confirmation mail once your request has been processed.
Once you cancel your membership you will still be part of current season and your membership will be canceled at the end of the season.
The charges for the entire season are collected from your bank account (if not already collected) and you will be unsubscribed from club communications. Your access will be blocked and your personal data will be removed in 45 days.

As a club, we have a strict policy of only offering full season memberships. Therefore, we do not offer refunds or partial refunds if you unsubscribe during the season or miss the unsubscription deadline.
